A yo-yo with FOUR bearings!. The XXXXL brings back the beefcake.
Back when less responsive yo-yos were getting popular, but before KonKave bearings made their appearance, Doctor Popular invented the beefcake mod using two bearings sandwiched together, to widen the gap and create a groove for the string to rest in. XXXXL's first and foremost feature is that it is a beefcake yo-yo.
The effect looks much like Crucial's Groove bearing, and similar to the effects of a KonKave or Center Trac bearing, the beekcake mod keeps the string away from the response pads and sleep loss at a minimum. One major difference with the XXXXL is that it uses full sized bearings instead of half-width ones, with the bearings deeply set into the sides of the yo-yo. On top of this, the hubstacks use Duncan size bearings for a grand total of four bearings loaded on one yo-yo. Now you know why it's the "XXXXL."
It comes with spacers so you can choose to use a single bearing instead of the beefcake mod. Of course, you could try out a KonKave bearing to find out which setting you like better. The hubstacks are a licensed addition from YoYoFactory; they extend just beyond the outer edge of the yo-yo, so you can lay it on its side and it will continue to spin.
