This full metal yo-yo was based on Gentry Stein's first signature model, and is fully made in the USA!
This is a new signature model for the 2014 and 2019 1A World Champion, Gentry Stein. In a market filled with Chinese-made yo-yos, the American stands out as one of the rare yo-yos "Made in the USA."
The American is based on Gentry's first signature model, the Super G, with an extreme H-profile, but it's blessed with concave rounded side faces similar to his newer signature model, the Shutter. Strictly speaking, the overall shape is closest to the titanium Shutter Ti.
Although it may look like it would have some eccentricities due to its shape, the American is actually quite a straight-shooter, delivering a consistently good playfeel. It picks up plenty of power with a light toss, and easily picks up extra speed. Neither too heavy or too light, it has a weight balance that delivers good performance without sacrificing control.
Grabbing the American and giving it a throw, you'll find your expectations turned on their head... in a good way!
*The black colorway has a side face design that says "American" in a variety of languages.

Gentry Stein tipped his herritage designs to blend his first signature 'Super G' design with his modern Shutter to create a unique profile. Super G was used by Gentry to take 3rd place in the World Contest. Shutter, was used for a win.
"This yoyo is the missing link between Shutter and Super G" Super G was kinda bulky, Shutter offered more comfort, float, and speed. By mixing design qualities of the shutter this makes what was wrong with super G right."
