From the Severe 2010 (67g version), the weight and width haven't budged, making this an appropriate successor to the Severe line. Yet, there is a major difference noticeable when you take a look at it from the side. The inside of the rim has been gouged out, and the entire body has been smoothed out, changing the distribution of weight for a better feel. The axle is no longer visible from the side, also giving it a new outer appearance.
Moreover, the body is constructed of 7075 Aluminum (aircraft-quality), increasing the stability even further from the already rock-solid Severe.
From the raised response area to the excellent balance, Supernova has taken all the good points of the Severe's design and developed it even further; they really didn't miss anything with the Supernova, and their careful design has yielded fantastic results.
