JT started its journey focusing on metal yo-yos with the Shaqshine, and it quickly became a flagship model for the Japanese maker, seeing multiple variations. This new version uniquely pushes all those specs to make an all-around upgrade to the classic high-end throw.
The simple appearance betrays the complex construction, and the deep investigation that Japan Technology pursues when they dive into the development of one of their yo-yos. With just one throw and bind, you'll quickly realize that there's a lot more to the Shaqshine FG than meets the eye: its superb playfeel and delicate balance and control makes it a shining star amongst bimetal throws.

Since we first released the original SHAQSHINE in 2016, we've challenged ourselves to improve the design over time in different ways. This time, we've taken it back to its roots, basing the shape on the original body; we sought to make an excellent choice for any style of string trick play, be it 1A, 3A, or 5A.
Building on the foundation of "all-purpose," we dug deep and went through a whole lot of trial and error, and that exploration gave us this bimetal Shaqshine FG that we can be proud of!
* Because the body material is exceptionally difficult to anodize, all colorways have some imperfections in the coloring. This is a result of the manufacturing process and has no effect on play. Thank you for your understanding.
