On April Fool's Day, a yo-yo that seems almost like a joke was released.
It's called the Mini Krown, a compact-sized version of the Krown that excels at detailed movements, described by the signature player (and product supervisor) himself as "almost like a grandchild version," this is the Krown that's been shrunk down.
The Krown has been popular as C3yoyodesign's best-selling product for 12 years since 2013. During this time, while several versions with different materials have been created, when it comes to size, it has always maintained the standard diameter of around 54.5-56.5mm, which is referred to as "full size" or "mid-size" in the metal yo-yo world, keeping with tradition.
This new model breaks that unwritten rule of the Krown series significantly.
The diameter has been reduced by almost 1 centimeter from the current standard Crown, making it what is technically a "mini size" in industry terms.
Due to its smaller size, both its appearance and feeling in your palm are completely different from the regular Krown, so it's definitely more for advanced players. However, the playing experience is quite solidly Krown. The reason lies in the fine-tuning of its shape.
It's not simply shrunken; the edges and weight distribution have been modified to make the throwing feel and catching sensation more comfortable and true to brand.
