REWIND x SUS YOYO MECHANICS x Yi Chenghao - Melfore
A small-diameter looping model fusing the technology and experience of three experts, designed for easy catching and handling.
This is the signature model of Yuki Takami, a National 2A Runner-up and World Contest 5th place finisher. It was born from a collaboration of professionals in their respective fields: Takami's looping know-how, SUS YOYO MECHANICS' precise design, and Yi Chenghao's manufacturing technology.
Its most distinctive features are the "small size" and "capless structure," rarely seen in previous looping models. The body size was intentionally designed to be compact to ensure the reliable catching of the yoyo returning at high speeds, arguably the most critical aspect of looping play. This helps players reduce catch errors and makes the yoyo extremely easy to grip and handle, even for children and women with smaller hands.
Typically, reducing the diameter leads to a lack of spin power, but this issue is resolved by concentrating weight on the outer edge (rim). This successfully clears the difficult design challenge of achieving optimal weight distribution while maintaining a shape that facilitates looping. When thrown, it offers a solid sense of weight; however, rather than feeling heavy or sluggish, this translates into "responsive feedback" that clearly communicates the yoyo's position and state to your fingertips.
The internal response structure is based on Yi Chenghao's "Windball," delivering high performance even in its default state. For those who want to fine-tune the setting, the response strength can be adjusted using Windball spacers. Additionally, it comes pre-installed with Takami's signature "Takami String." Without the need for difficult setup, players from beginners to experts can immediately experience its ease of use and high performance.
*Although it holds high potential right out of the package, the bearing is not oiled in its initial state. We recommend applying looping oil before use to ensure the most comfortable handling.
**There may be fine lines resembling cracks on the part of the body where the spacers are installed. Additionally, there may be small black specks inside the body; this is a normal feature of the manufacturing process.

"High Rigidity" | "Size Down" | "Balance Between Return and Sleep"
Capless, downsized (56.81mm diameter). When we received a request to create a shape unlike anything seen in existing looping yo-yos, development began on what would be SUS's first-ever looping model. We won't pretend there was no anxiety when we first heard the proposal.
However, two things gave us the confidence to pursue several new approaches: the fact that Takami had a clear vision already formed, and the realization that going capless would allow us to apply the know-how we had built up through our bind models.
We started by adjusting the width and rim curvature to match the reduced diameter. As a result, the width became slightly narrower as well, and by concentrating the mass previously held in the cap into the rim, we were able to significantly improve sleep performance.
The next challenge was return performance. With the size reduction and the increase in moment of inertia, we needed to redesign the rim geometry to allow clean, tilt-free returns. At the same time, we revisited the weight balance along the width axis to suit the capless configuration.
For the side face profile, we adopted a domed body line to eliminate any awkward feel when gripping the yo-yo — a design choice intended to recreate the same in-hand comfort as if a cap were present.
An entirely new concept, yet a feel that sits naturally in the hand from the first throw. Beyond that, you should notice a clear difference in stability during loops and the sustained spin that comes with improved sleep performance.
