For the first time, we are releasing the first production yo-yo made of engineering plastic. It's a high quality model that was designed specifically to draw out the full potential of the plastic used.
Since the Rera was released, we got a lot of requests from players to make another wide model. Listening to our fans, we got to work on something special, looking for a good balance that would surpass the Rera. Making the diameter and width bigger was a no-brainer. But in doing so, the overall balance of the yo-yo suffers...
If the body is too wide the yo-yo is too heavy and the spin isn't good. Heavy yo-yos will wear their parts out quicker. We may get a good balance of width and weight, but it won't spin well... we revisited our mission, to make yo-yos that everyone will love, to draw the full potential of our materials, and we experimented until we were satisfied with the results.
It's now been 6 years since Rera was first released. It was designed, built, and tested in a factory in the far north, in Hokkaido. We have never lost our hunger to keep improving on those designs.
Now, we bring to you the GULL WING. Like a sea bird spreading its wings, it's set to travel the world and fly like an eagle. This is the culmination of Japan Technology's craft.
