The Freehand became popular around the world for its performance, appearance, and customizability. Production of the Freehand II was discontinued due to mold damage. A new model, known as the Freehand II, was developed as a replacement.
The Freehand 2 is a full metal version of the original Freehand 2. It is a bind responsive model with a slim size pad response and size C bearings. Unlike the round shape of the series that follows the original Freehand, which is still in production today, the rim portion is considerably rounded, which makes the impact of the catch feel much softer.
