Yoyofriends has released a full-size model using Damascus steel as the body material.

Damascus steel is a layered steel often used for knives and kitchen knives, and is characterized by its beautiful patterns. It can express a texture not found in other materials. Because it is a material used for knives, it is strong and makes it possible for the body walls to be made quite thin.

Taking advantage of the special characteristics of Damascus steel, the entire body is very thin. The specific weight is also quite heavy, and a great deal of weight can be concentrated by making the rim slightly thicker. While spinning, the yo-yo feels firm and responsive, with a very sharp feel. The yo-yo, which feels heavy, moves smoothly with little effort.

This model is (probably) the first full-size monometal yo-yo using Damascus steel. We have high expectations for future developments, but this model already boasts a high level of perfection.
