Auldey is the largest yo-yo maker in China, and the main organizer for the 2018 World Yo-Yo Contest held in Shanghai. And just like the contest, their looping yo-yo is designed to bring the love of yo-yos to everyone. While it has the familiar shape and starburst response of popular looping yo-yos, the seemingly simple design belies a lot of neat features.
Compared to other looping yo-yos that have come before it, Auldey's looping yo-yo has a wider gap, with a unique approach to fine-tuning that crucial spec. Rather than spacers, this yo-yo has a selection of bearing locks that serve to adjust the height of the starburst response area.
Another point is the use of a special nut to lock down the bearing, which is more sturdy; you don't have to worry about damaging the plastic parts by overtightening it.
fine-tuning gap adjustments are possible with the six ultra-thin washers that are included; stack them up to get just the right setting!
It feels much more powerful than you'd expect from the weight. It is great for all-around looping, but also spins very stable, making this yo-yo especially great for wrap combos!
