Atmosphere is 2004 5A World Champion Makoto Numagami's favorite counterweight yo-yo.
After a long planning and design phase, Numagami has condensed his expertise into the Atmosphere. He's incorporated the popular YYJ silicone o-ring into the response system, following the current trend for a modern feel.
The Atmosphere has a wide flat metal rim in the same style as the now-discontinued Cappy FaKtor and Wicked FaKtors (bonus points if you actually remember those yo-yos!), with a delrin polycarbonate and a nickel-bronze outer rim, compared to the delrin/aluminum New Breed, the Atmosphere has even more weight in the wings. at 69.4 grams it's no lightweight, but offers a lot of power and stablity especially during 5A play. Its diameter is on the small side at 51.21mm, keeping it from getting in the way during complicated string tricks. Of course you don't need a counterweight to enjoy this yo-yo; it's well suited for 1A and 3A play as well. If you think it's on the heavy side, you can remove the side cap to lighten the load slightly.
Starting with the current run, the Atmosphere is now loaded with the Solid Spin Axle system. The axle system is reinforced and slightly heavier than before. For a tug-response setting, you can switch to a thin bearing like that of the Revolution.
