Asteria
UNPRLD - Asteria
Tsukasa Asahara's first signature bimetal model, balancing agility and stability for complete control.
This is the first signature model for UNPRLD's Japanese member, Tsukasa Asahara. Developed based on the company's "Recognition" and "Aion" models, it has been refined repeatedly to match Asahara's playstyle.
The stainless steel rim utilizes a mid-ship rim structure, placed towards the inner side of the body. This placement prevents the handling from becoming heavy due to excessive rotational force. As a result, it achieves an agility that allows for movement without feeling the weight, while still securing sufficient spin power.
Furthermore, this design achieves a perfect balance between "ease of movement" and "ease of stopping." The yo-yo possesses high control performance; moving exactly as the player intends without accelerating uncontrollably, and stops precisely where desired. It offers the optimal feeling for long combos that smoothly connect tricks and for styles requiring complex movements.
The name "Asteria" means "star" in Greek. Just as Asahara was once drawn to a specific presence among the myriad players, tricks, and yo-yos that exist like stars, this name embodies the wish that this model will become "the special one chosen from among the countless yo-yos" for someone. Filled with Asahara's ideals, this yo-yo will serve as a special model that expands the possibilities of those who wield it, allowing them to shine.
